There are only two days in the year when nothing can be done.
One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow.

Adopt your street

You can get a free litter picker from the council if you sign our Adopt-A-Street pledge. Email us the signed copy then take a printout to Leith Library to get your litter picker. Nearly 160 streets have been adopted so far. You can check out the streets on this map. One street can be adopted by many people so it shouldn’t hold you back if you see your street marked on it.

You can report litter, overflowing bins, missed bin collection, dog fouling, flytipping on the city council's website or by phoning 0131 608 1100 or on Twitter to @edinhelp. Use our handy guide if you want to get rid of unwanted stuff or order an uplift from the council for £5 per item.

join our litterpicks

From March to November we have monthly litterpicks, usually on the first Sunday of each month. Twice a year we also organise longer cleanup events. If you’d like to get an email notification about our events, click on the button below and check out our events page on Facebook. We’re happy to organise litterpicks for companies as well.
